- 1 (20-ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 1 tablespoon fresh sage (chopped)
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
- 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot. Cook tortellini according to package instructions until al dente.
- While cooking, slice the mushrooms and chop the sage.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter with olive oil. Add chopped sage and fry until crispy, about one minute. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic along with another tablespoon of butter. Sauté for about 5 minutes until browned.
- Drain the tortellini and add it to the skillet with mushrooms. Add remaining butter, parmesan cheese, and crispy sage; toss gently to combine. Season with salt and pepper as needed.
