- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 4 tbsp apple pie spice
- 5 tbsp cinnamon (reserve 1 tbsp for topping)
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup light brown sugar
- Olive oil nonstick spray
Instructions
- Peel and cut the apples into ½-inch thick wedges.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, apple pie spice, and 4 tablespoons of cinnamon. Transfer to a container with a lid.
- Add apple wedges to the container and shake to coat evenly.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs and vanilla extract. Dredge each coated apple wedge in the egg mixture before returning them to the flour mix; shake again.
- Prepare the cinnamon sugar topping by mixing light brown sugar and remaining cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray and arrange coated apple wedges in a single layer. Lightly spray tops with oil and sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over them.
- Cook at 350°F for 6 minutes, flip carefully, spray again with olive oil, sprinkle remaining cinnamon sugar on top, and cook another 6 minutes until golden brown.
