Scale
  • 10 cups cubed sourdough or French bread
  • 1 large onion, finely diced
  • 2 cups finely chopped celery (about 34 stalks)
  • 2 tbsp fresh sage, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme, finely chopped

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  2. Sauté vegetables: In a skillet over medium heat, melt half of the unsalted butter. Add onion and celery; sauté for about 5-7 minutes until soft. Remove from heat.
  3. Mix everything together: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cubed bread with sautéed vegetables and fresh herbs. Gradually pour in broth while mixing until evenly moistened. Season with salt and pepper.
