Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp kosher salt (plus extra for topping)
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp minced garlic (optional)
  • Fresh rosemary leaves (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, instant yeast, and salt. Add lukewarm water and mix until combined into a sticky dough.
  2. Lightly coat the dough with olive oil and let it rest for 1½ hours at room temperature until doubled in size.
  3. Grease an 8 or 9-inch baking dish with butter, then pour in 1 tbsp olive oil. Place the dough in the dish, rolling it to coat.
  4. Allow the dough to rest for another 30 minutes while preheating your oven to 425°F.
  5. Drizzle another tbsp of olive oil on top of the dough, sprinkle with garlic and rosemary, then press down to create dimples.
  6. Sprinkle additional salt on top and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly before slicing and serve warm.
