  • 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 cups (336 g) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (109 g) finely chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Baking Sheet: Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook the Candy Mixture: In a medium heavy-bottom saucepan over medium heat, combine butter and sugar. Stir consistently until the mixture reaches 285°F and turns dark amber (about 35-45 minutes).
  3. Pour and Spread: Carefully pour the hot candy mixture onto the lined baking sheet. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top and let them soften for 1-2 minutes before spreading into an even layer.
  4. Add Pecans: Sprinkle chopped pecans over the melted chocolate and gently press them in.
