  • 50 Grams (1/4 Cup) Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Browned Butter
  • 1 Large Egg, at room temperature
  • 1 Tablespoon Dry Milk Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 5.3oz (2/3 Cup) Pure Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 Tablespoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 406 Grams– 468 Grams (3 1/43 3/4 Cup) All-Purpose Flour
  • 150 Grams (3/4 Cup) Brown Sugar, for filling
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon, for filling
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice, for filling
  • 3oz (6 Tablespoons) Browned Butter, for frosting
  • 4oz Cream Cheese, softened to room temperature, for frosting
  • 2oz (1/4 Cup) Browned Butter, softened to room temperature, for frosting
  • 1 Tablespoon Pure Vanilla Extract, for frosting
  • 2 Tablespoons Heavy Cream, for frosting
  • 180 Grams (1 1/2 Cups) Confectioners Sugar, for frosting

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining warm water and yeast in a mixing bowl until frothy.
  2. Mix in granulated sugar, browned butter, egg, dry milk powder, salt, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin pie spice until well combined.
  3. Gradually add all-purpose flour until a soft dough forms; knead on a floured surface until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Combine brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice for the filling.
  6. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle; spread remaining browned butter and sprinkle filling over it.
  7. Tightly roll the dough into a log shape and slice into equal pieces.
  8. Place slices in a greased baking dish to rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 27 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Prepare frosting while rolls are baking by mixing all frosting ingredients until smooth; drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
