			- 1 lb beef strips (sirloin or ribeye)
 - 2 tbsp vegetable oil
 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
 - 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
 - 1 tbsp soy sauce
 - 2 tbsp soy sauce
 - 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
 - 2 tbsp rice vinegar
 - 1 tbsp cornstarch
 - 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for cooking onions)
 - 1 large onion, sliced
 - Salt and pepper to taste
 
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Toss in beef strips and let marinate for 10-15 minutes.
 - Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sauté until soft and golden brown. Season with salt and pepper, then set aside.
 - In the same skillet, heat 2 tbsp of vegetable oil on high heat. Add marinated beef strips and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned.
 - Whisk together remaining soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and cornstarch in a bowl. Pour over the beef in the skillet and simmer until thickened.
 - Add cooked onions back into the pan with the beef mixture. Stir well and serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
