  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 ½ cups hot water
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, whole milk, and vanilla extract; whisk until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon; then add to the wet mixture and combine.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Mix brown sugar with hot water until dissolved and pour over the batter.
  6. Sprinkle additional sugar and cinnamon on top before baking for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
